Positive Thought for the Week of June 22, 2020

I skipped last week’s positive thought in order to post The Pledge of Allegiance for Flag Day.  Back to my Thought of the Week.  This week the letter is “W”.  There are a lot of words that could be discussed that begin with W.  Wisdom, work, worry, etc.  I thought I would talk about WINNING.

Many people consider the winner as the one who comes in first in a contest. We always are competing in one way or another, but believe it or not, there can be more than one winner.  Winning is the act of a person or thing that wins.  Fortunately, we can all be winners.  Here are some thoughts about what makes a winner:

  • Winning is never whining.
  • Winning is coming in fourth, exhausted but excited, because you came in fifth last time.
  • Winning is being glad you are you.
  • Winning is a feeling, there is no ceiling.
  • Winning is a beginning, and by beginning, the game is half won.

Winning is all in the attitude.

There is a saying that winners never quit, and quitters never win. Winning is all about being positive.  If you are not positive about life, you might need a check up from the neck up. You don’t always have to be right.  Enjoy the game of life.
