I took a week off last week, but I am back with a Positive Thought that we can all use, as well as share with our children and grandchildren. Everyone can benefit from this advice about being Self-Reliant.
To be Self-Reliant adults, we need to set some guidelines:
- Be different, if it means higher personal and professional standards.
- Be different, if it means being more gracious and considerate of others.
- Be different, if it means being cleaner, neater, and better groomed than the group.
- Be different, if it means putting more time and effort into all you do.
- Be different, if it means taking calculated risk.
The greatest risk in life is to wait for and depend on others for your own security.
The greatest security is to plan and act, and take the risk that will ultimately ensure your personal freedom and independence.
If you can’t rely on yourself, you will be forced to rely on someone or something else. What you want for yourself may not be what those others deem that you should have.
When you can think of yesterday without regret, and tomorrow without fear, you have succeeded. Don’t depend on someone else.
Be sure to subscribe there so you don’t miss any future thoughts.
